I've got an MTE remap on my D5 from Don Norchi at Kalmar Union. I don't think it's available now but I've been pleased with the increase in power, change of power delivery and the economy.
I know that RICA do a remap, Shark performance used to but ceased trading. Not sure who else is out there beyond asking the usual culprits. Your biggest issue is the lack of a Volvo tuning scene and the age of the cars |

So I'm looking at Celtic tuning.. stage 1 remap takes the d5 to 235bhp and costs £325 and they come to you
I like the idea of the Rica isoftloader where you can load different maps by yourself but buying this and then the software on top will be about double the cost of the Celtic tuning remap |

I would speak to either tim William's or shem from shemtek. They are the experienced volvo mappers in the uk.

The D5 in the S40 is a detuned one from the larger cars a few horsepower less , said to be because there is simply not enough room for the required size radiator and intercooler , The radiator is special to the other engines in the S40 D5 as it is re designed to make the very most of the available space . Your 240 bhp remap is all well and good but could hit problems if you want to press on for miles and miles at high speed .
