Hmm, maybe they just wanted to plan ahead or something but I am 100% sure the process didnt change much - you will still have to provide them some kind of OEM map the tune is based on so readout off ECU would be needed I guess...
(now thinking about it, you said you fried ECU... so that shouldnt matter... but VIN is coded do CEM not ECU so...... im lost :P)

Car is back with you to drive around or still in workshop for further work?
(on a sidenote - does it drive around with that OTE pipe or already without it?, wink wink, nudge ;P )

Have you got a link for them? Will check them out, but 325 doesn't sound like a k16? Sounds like it's still on the standard k04?

Yeh I'm not sure but I have robs email so it's on the sideline at the moment as a backup really as I dont want the current running like this much longer.

Yeh car is back with me and driving, taking it to work and back to bed the engine in atm but boost is a bit hit and miss at the moment with the mapping as I can put on the larger injectors till the car is mapped really.

But yeh the pipe is out and ready to go if you want . Cant remember how much I said I'd let it go for again but drop me a message. I wont be able to post right away though.

Dom - Have you tried https://www.racingline.com/

That's where the chap from Shark has gone now. Might be worth seeing if they can custom map for you.

EDIT - Is there nobody at Dreamscience or similar who can do our cars? Have you asked? They all do the Focus ST/RS so mechanically are more than familiar - Just depends if they can work with the ECU.

Yeh I think I have asked every single focus st rs specialist mapper and they wont touch it. Car had its work done at bd performance in Wrexham and we actually tried to put the k16 shark map on which ruined the ECU. But I've heard from quite a few others who have gone down this route that shark never did a good job mapping these, I know one other s40 t5 running the k16 which still has issues.

I'm hoping to have a reply today or tomorrow on some custom maps so depending on those il make a decision soon.

You'd be better off taking the block and parts out. Fitting a standard T5 lump from ebay into yours and selling it, buying a Focus ST and fitting the parts removed from your T5 to that

Problem solved.....

Though in hindsight, probably should have looked into the mapping before getting all the bits

Hahaha Yeh I did my research but tbh the only problem is getting these cars mapped. Everyone highly recommends certain mappers and trying to sort anything out with them is an incredibly difficult and frustrating task. Apart from that it's actually fine.
