Default Tool tray?

Hi.

Can anyone tell me the part number for this tray that goes on top of the battery, mine was missing when I got the car. I can’t seem to locate one.

XC90 - 2003 - Auto.

Thanks

Hi, with so many xc90s being broken up, why not just contact one of the breakers? I would have thought a much better option (and chesper) than purchasing new.

Hope this helps.

Hi John.

I wouldn’t dream of buying new. The part number is useful when searching eBay. I enter either part numbers or names (if obvious) of items and if no matches are found I save that search, so when what I’m looking for does get listed I’ll get a notification. This is a very good method to find what you’re after, quickly. As long as you’ve got the right name/part number.

Im sure I’ll find it soon.

Cheers.

Is it the shopping bag holder you are looking for?

Or something else

EDIT - It's called a "Grocery Bag Holder" and I can't find one either.

I do have one though, and never use it because I always seem to have stuff on top of it when I go shopping...

Cheers

Dave

That looks like what I have and (IMHO) the price is reasonable.

Certainly worth it if you haven't got any cover there at all.

Cheers

As Harley says - looks reasonable to me.

BTW - does anyone know what its purpose is - I wondered if it is a backrest when sitting on the tail gate? It does not have much space to hide anything of substance and have often wondered what the point of it is!

Exactly as Harley has already said; it's intended to hold a couple of grocery bags in an upright position. You flip it up and insert the bags between it and its elastic strap.

It's also perfect for not having a leaky take-away tip over on the journey home.

I might be wrong, but I think the query is about the tray that goes under this. It comes over the battery cover and under this flap.

I believe it is s felt covered cardboard construction and held in place with two clips either side.

Certainly not a tool tray as they would rattle around. Might be better described as a shopping tray.

Just describe to a breaker and they should be able to help you out

It would appear that they are two different implementations of the same thing. I suspect the 'felt tray' type, where this is separately removable from the main boot cover portion, was fitted to earlier models, whereas in later models such as the ones I've owned, they were one-piece assemblies (as per the eBay part linked above).

The OP's style cover is shown being removed in this video:

Sorry, I can't help with a part number for that version.
