Default Washer jets

I occasionally drive a V40 which has 3 windscreen washer jets. The third jet certainly clears a grubby windscreen quicker.

Apart from the issue of drilling a hole in the bonnet of the XC90 and plumbing in a third washer (using a 3 way delivery valve) - is there anything that I’ve not thought of if I wanted to add a 3rd jet?

Lockdown boredom is well and truly set in now!

I had three (pairs of) jets on my Saab 9-5 Aero estate.

They certainly worked well.

I'd be interested to see how it turns out.

Keep us informed please.

Cheers

Dave

Pressure and volume.
Will the pump be able to generate the necessary 50% increase in pressure to supply the 50% increase in quantity of jets?

Likewise, will the dimensions of the existing pipes be sufficient for the higher volume needed for the 50% increase in quantity of jets?
