S40 Spare key

Hello all,

Anyone know where i can get a spare key made up for my Volvo S40 2009 for a good price as so far its coming out at over £250?

Hi. I don't think you will find any where other than a Volvo dealer.
I thought I had lost mine (2003 V70) 4 button key and the price was £409.12!!!
Noe of the local car key suppliers could help, they all said Volvo keep the blanks and access to the software to themselves.
Luckily I found mine behind the rear seat hinge.

The price won't get any better than that. There are no alternatives.

Agreed. Even the specialised auto locksmith places told me "we can get the replacement key, no problem but we will have to program it in Volvo anyway" and price was actually higher than from dealership itself.
