Default Wipers different for rhd/lhd?

I bought some genuine volvo wipers off ebay last week, from a volvo dealer labelled as part no.31457761. The price seemed good at 24 quid for the fronts and when they arrived they looked good.

Having just fitted them I am convinced they are for a LHD car as volvo is written at the end of each wiper on what I thought was the top edge but is actually the bottom, and the sort of spoiler curve from top to bottom, also faces the bottom when parked.

Does that make sense? doesn't seem right to me. Are people aware of a difference between left and right hand drive?

Thanks
Steff

Sound wrong from what you say, is the Volvo upside down? Spoiler should start at top with thin edge at the bottom.

Thanks All, I actually just called by my local dealer to look at wipers on their car and unsurprisingly I am wrong the the wipers are absolutely correct.... as per those photos Wayne!

Anyway, good result over all as 24 quid seems fairly cheap for genuine ones.

Thank you, upon reflection I realise the current wipers are bosh purchased from halfords with my trade card. Considerably cheaper than the previous set of genuine from dealers.

I found out from a YouTube video that there is a maintenence setting for the wipers which moves the to a vertical position allowing one to lift the wiper without it hitting the bonnet.

Ignition on, hold wiper command stalk up for a few seconds. I though this was cool.
