the stav-tech trick:

old baked beans tin big enough to fit over tip, drill 5 holes downwards and fill it with wire wool.

then add a spring to it somehow to stop it falling off

good to get around track day dB limits

Do you really want the side exit?

I'd pull it off and fit a nice exhaust to the back.

It would fill the exhaust shaped hole in the back bumper too!

Could you recommend reasonably priced and quiet exhaust?

Hi, my 1998 V70 is fitted with the one standard silencer and the exhaust is loud. I am looking for a rear silencer and Ninjabob81 recommended "everyexhaustpart" who have a shop on ebay. I am purchasing a box which is advertised as being "quiet". These come in various lengths, diameters and bore sizes. Works out about £60.00. Hope this helps
