Default OBD Scanner

I'm looking to buy a diagnostic scanner that I can use on my 2011 S40, as well as a 2009 Mazda 3 (which intermittently has an SRS light flashing). I'm not too keen on the ones that connect to phones via bluetooth, mainly because my phone is old, slow and won't be able to cope with the software.
I've found a Foxwell scanner that looks reasonable and has good reviews. I know it's going to be limited compared to DICE, just wondering if anyone has any experience of these or any other recommendations before I shell out for one.

TIA

Was going to post the same subject before coming across this one.

Can anyone recommend a scanner that works well with Volvo?

Are those cheap scanners available on ebay any good?
