Third brake light XC60

Morning

I was driving behind my wife in her XC60 this morning, and noticed that only the middle part of the third brake light came on, and not the entire bar across the width of the back of the car. Is this correct? Or should the entire bar light up.

When I get home tonight I'll check out if where the

s are, but I though I post it here.

The car's from 2011, i.e. pre-facelift

Only the middle section has LEDs. The rest is just decor.
