The centre grill is fitted on all vehicles

HOWEVER only the Premium system (with the DynAudio badge on the center speaker grill) actuall has a speaker underneath the grill

On the Premium DynAudio system, the center speaker is used for
a) the Voice commands from the navigation system
b) the center channel for surround sound (if surround is turned on selected)

If yours is the Standard or the High Performance system, there is no speaker fitted under the grill

Your only sort of right as the pre face lift ones it's not a DynAudio system. It does say Premium Sound and Dolbly pro logic II when you turn it on. I don't know what the situation is if you only have the sat nav as it uses it but I have both.
