Default Scrapping my J reg 460 SI. Anyone want any bits? (S. Wales)

Since it was cheaper to buy a £275 940GL 2.0 than to fix my 460SI which has been sat on my driveway for over a year since failing it's MOT (which is why I've not been active on this forum really) I plan to scrap it some time next week in order to free up driveway space.

Anyone want to buy some parts. I'm not going to ask a huge price for them, you can have anything you can take off the car so long as I'm left with a rolling shell at the end of it. Seats, interior, doors, light clusters, engine bits, hell take the whole engine if you can manage it (I wouldn't have a clue how to get it out). The bodywork is somewhat scabby and the red paint is now a lovely shade of pink, however the engine ran fine last time I drove it.

I'm located about 5 minutes from Blackwood.

Edit: If you want me to take pictures of anything first, just let me know, and if it's a part that I can remove easy enough (ie. not the engine) then I can take it off and post it if you prefer that.

If you can take the car to Ogmore scrappy (with it's V5) they will give you £40-60 for it! If they collect it from you, you will get at least £20! Scrap metal is around £120/ton a the moment. They are up the Ogmore Vale road from Blackmill, North from Bridgend.

All the best, Peter.

It's a bit of a hike from Blackwood to Bridgend! Can I legally tow the 460 without it being insured?

£60 seems a pretty crap price if scrap metal is worth that much, not to mention the bits they can sell.

Nobody wants any bits? I'd rather they went directly to someone who needs them than via a dismantler. I'm not going to ask for more than a tenner, unless you want the engine!

Does the speedo unit have the info centre in it or the conventional temperature and fuel gauges without the mpg bits? Cheers.

It doesn't have any form of computer readout such as MPG, no, sorry.

Also, does anyone know if the front door speakers will fit the doors in my 940 as someone appears to have removed them.
