Default Shocks or Coilovers

Can anyone recommend a set of shocks and springs for c30? I kind of thought on bc coilovers (or similar) but having tried the ones with external oil tank on my impreza I was not a fan.
don't want to slam the car on its hunkers as some of the roads I travel are not the best. 🙄 so guess I'm looking for an 'in-between' set. Never used spax or Bilstein so I have no clue as to what they are like to live with on a daily basis.
I'm also running 18' wheels on it so that may well be something that requires factoring in.

thank you.

I have had both eibach lowering springs and now have bilstein b14 coilovers.

Real depends what you are after as coilovers dont give you that slammed image you are thinking about, you would have to air bag for that which is ££££

if you are after a slightly lower look and a slight reduction in body roll, get the springs. They are cheap but to be honest dont make that much of a difference, which is why I changed.

With coilovers you only want to get a good brand like bilstein etc it will lower the car more than the springs and being adjustable you can change the hight to suit you. Handling was massivly increased with coilovers ..... all compared on the track.

eibach pro springs. b4 bilstein shocks. Lowers car about 10mm compared to the lowest factory option. bilstein b4 about 10% stiffer than factory but very compliant and good ride. Not harsh, not crashy. and car still goes over speed bumps fine. Significantly more stable in corners compared to stock shocks and coils with 80k miles on. that's with the 'dynamic chassis option'

I've had coilovers in the past and found them good and not crashy, but still harsher than the above set up. plus you need £1k plus, to get coilovers that will give you acceptable comfort on British roads.

I do not want the car slammed it is purely handling upgrade I wish to achieve.

I would go straight to coilovers then and not bother with the lowering springs. Springs did lower the ride a touch but still a lot of body roll, even with an uprated rear antiroll bar.

I am running bilstein b14's and they are great for day to day and you will find the handling has significantly improved.
