Default C30 D5 Performance

Recently purchased a C30 D5 geratronic which is lovely to drive, but does seem sluggish around town at low rev's.

Previous car was a S60 2.0T so I know how a turbo drives compared to an n/a car, but does the D5 naturally feel quite lazy?

Does a remap help the performance at low revs?
