XC60 2017 57000mls Map Display

Good Evening All,

My whole info screen including maps and wording and contacts is suddenly displaying everything upside down, even the Volvo name when starting up. I have tried a couple of resets but to no avail. It is in for a clutch on Friday, will disconnecting the battery help? It had a new stop/start battery during its MOT just before Christmas and all has been fine until today. Volvo does not give advice, they just say bring it in and we will take a look. Any help is appreciated.

Never, ever heard of that on a SPA car. It is a new shape XC60 isn't it?

Don't disconnect the battery, last time I did that, I needed Volvo assist to reset the car as it didn't charge the battery, and ended up dying.

I took it to my main dealer who was going to reset the battery but then told me a unit under the front seats was not talking to another unit above so they could not do the reset and have now referred this new problem to Volvo direct. My info system is still all in reverse but works fine

It could be my head unit they say, it is not communicating so needs replacing at a cost of £1500. A 6-year-old car. I would have thought I would get no image at all if it wasn't communicating and surely this part should be fit for purpose for a lot longer than 6 years, it's not like it's a moving part that needs servicing or I have taken it out to dust and dropped it. I don't really think they are 100% sure replacing it will sort my reversed display though.
