“Victoria” has just been returned to the road after a 23 year break and 46 years with the same family that bought her from the Volvo distributers, Parkway of Dorchester.

The original purchase invoice is in a box full of paperwork along with the warranty booklet showing her full service history - her last tax disc expired in March ’93. “Victoria” has been dry stored throughout her life and this had ensured her preservation was excellent - only a replacement n/s outrigger and wheelarch!

“Victoria” has been repainted in the original Volvo red, which also included the engine bay and boot. The engine (1780cc with single Stromberg) was removed after running up to check the condition which, again, was excellent and confirms the low mileage of 56,295 as being correct (also corroborated by the MOT certificates). With the exception of the dashtop - plus the addition of carpets on top of the mats - the interior is completely original and in top condition having required no more than a light clean.

The gearbox now has an overdrive fitted and the car runs beautifully. Fresh from the MOT station “Victoria” is currently looking for someone to care for her in the manner to which she has always been accustomed!

With lots more images and dads fitted a set of new kick panels the other day I nagged him so it would be perfect inside , better than what was with the car it let it down I felt so she's ready to rock .

I think after I said it was hard finding the car on eBay she's edited the title now to have Amazon in it 🤗 So all good now 🤓.
