can anyone help get me the code for my SC-801 stereo I have just purchased a 1997 850 Se Estate and the radio needs a code which the dealer did not know, so can any one help?

hi all wondering if you could help me with my code for a 1999 s40 had a few leccy problems which i have now sorted but lost radio previous owner does not have code and will not get log book for upto 3 weeks need music before that

Hi there,
Just new on the site, radio code that i got with the car didnt work, said off and nothing is displaying now, can anyone help,
its a radio from a 1995 850 T5 estate,

if you have entered the code 3 times incorrect, it will not be locked.

However, it should say OFF when you turn it on, every time, then go off, so is that what you mean?

if so, then you need to get the correct code from a dealer, or from RUFE here, and then you need to apply power to the unit for at least 2 hours!

That will reset the unit, and allow you to have another 3 attempts

you have two options, leave the car running for 2 hours, stood or driving, or remove the stereo and connect it to a 12v supply for 2 hours, but you will need the correct cable for that.

e-mail :- custcare@volvocars.com send a copy of your V5 & a covering letter & they will send your radio code by return e-mail.

Mine took about 2 mins, very pleased.
