Arrow How to replace front sway bar bushings the easy way

I enjoy the ride in my 2008 XC90 3.2 but I have had a dull thumping sound on the front passenger side when going over bumps in the road and it got worse the colder it was outside. I had already changed the upper strut mount, lower right hand motor mount and upper torque rod trying to fix the issue. I was under the car trying to diagnose the sound when I noticed my passenger side anti roll bar bushing was shot. The bar was free to shake around causing the noise I have been hearing. Doing a little research I learned that the stock bar diameter is 23.5 mm and that the bushings are vulcanized to the bar itself so in order to change them you need to replace the entire bar which includes dropping the sub frame, not an easy job! Anyways I thought I would try something different and it worked brilliantly!

Attached is my how-to guide on doing this.

I like the idea. It's indeed very easy. Well done.

How did the bar behave over time?
Did you have any issues with it?

Might have a look at mine this weekend whilst I'm doing inner track rood ends!!

Following reading your PDF RPE, (Very good by the way) I found these listed as Volvo replacements! assume they must also be slit to allow you to refit.
