99 V70R question,

I have this beauty and when I'm looking for parts I'm often asked what variant it is,

875, 876 [1995-2000] Estate
LV [1995-2000] Estate
LV [1996-2000] Estate
MK II [1999-2008] Estate
P80_ [1995-2000] Estate

I'm guessing it may be the LV [1996-2000] Estate but would like to be sure, It's an Automatic gearbox, two wheel drive, any help in how I can figure this out would be appreciated, at the moment I need the drivers side seat belt, it won't pull out any more and the MOT is due early April, The car was manufactured 1998 and sold 1999,

P80 is the platform/chassis upon which it's built and was first used on the 850 from 1992 up to 2005 when the Classic C70 ceased production.

The LV and LS that you see on different parts suppliers websites brings the P80 under one global umbrella but basically V stands for Wagon and S for Saloon/Limousine.

Most of the info is hidden within your VIN so cross-reference to see what you have. You will also find the interior type code (eg: 7#7#) on the upper right hand side of the VIN plate.

Now it gets a little complicated...the Classic S/V70 production ran from late '96 to '00 (C70 to '05) with changes introduced to engine/drive train along the way. This is where you may, or may not, see reference Phase I, Phase II, Phase III. Volvo would refer to this as Alter I, II and so forth.
