V70 Power Steering noise
My '01 V70 has developed a fairly loud whine/groan which appears to be related to the power steering and only happens after the car has been running for more than around 5 minutes. I had heard the noise before, but only sometimes when cornering sharply at speed - which made me think it was wheel rub (as I have the 17" wheels). Now it happens regularly when turning or if you turn the wheel when stationary. Any ideas ? Just want to be prepared for what the dealer may say. Thanks Simon |

RE: V70 Power Steering noise
Did you check the fluid level, if its low the pump will be noisy when in use!

Yup, that's the problem - there is a leak where the hose meets the reservoir.
Thanks Simon |
