Default XC60:- Faults to Date.

This is a summery of faults since new.

XC60 D5 Se Lux.
Dec 2008.
Mileage covered, just under 25000 miles.

1st Fault
The LCD for the Sat Nav/Reversing Camera had to be replaced, due to it being temperature sensitive. Any temp below 1C and it was reluctant to come to life.

2nd Fault
The XC60 kept going into Emergency Drive Mode.
The fault was eventually traced to the Can Bus Hi/Lo system.
There is a wiring loom in the Drivers A Frame and here it was found that the loom connector, had not been fully clicked together.

3rd Fault
Over the recent cold spell I have had the fault, where I can open the doors, but not close them, due to the locking system, being frozen.
Most of the time, I just start the car and with the heating selected to boost, the locks have thawed.
I have on one occasion, due to the very cold temperature, had to use the passenger seat belt, which is just long enough, to lace through the door handle and engage.
This allowed me to drive to the nearest Volvo Dealership, where I was informed that low temperature grease would have to be applied, to all the locks and this has now been done.

Having previously owned 2 XC90's, I am very pleased with the XC60.
For me, it is a nicer car to drive and meets my needs. I do not require 7 seats.

The only other issue outstanding, is the fitting of the replacement bolt for the Power Steering (Safety Recall), when they come off back order.

Not too bad. I hope that it stays that simple for me.

Thank goodness that the freezing problem is unlikely to bother me here.
