Default V70XC 98 Prop shaft Refurbishment

Hi,
Following from my thread about the thumping noise at low speed tight turns I removed the prop at work yesterday on one of the pits at work (bus depot) the centre bearing has totally disintegrated so needs a replacement, on reading it cant be done "inhouse" so does anyone know where in Wales or SouthWest England this can be done or do i see what discount I can get for a new one from FRF volvo?
I need the AWD for winter and its the only problem with my car otherwise its immaculate with over £7000 of recipts!! and 12000 miles not bad for an 17yr old..
Thanks in adavnce.

A lot of these shafts (not sure of your year) are made GKN and they have a complete refurbishment center in Leek Staffordshire.
It might be worth sending some pictures and asking?

You might find a local prop shaft repair center near you? quite often the shafts need cut and then re-welded and balanced hence a repair in service is not recommended.

Its more common on heavy and industrial shafts but im sure one of these companies could sort for a lot less than new?
