Default Tailgate lock

Tailgate wont lock or unlock with central locking, tried the key in tailgate lock and turned it right and back to middle few times, i can hear it click as if its locked but it doesnt .. it shuts fine

The lock actuator links to the lock mechanism via a metal rod with a sprung clip that secures it at each end.
It could be that a clip has become loose and the actuating rod disengaged.

Thanks.. could be that i havent attached it correctly when i fitted the new catch and its popped off, ill have a look tomorrow👍🏻

It was the rod that had come off, obviously not attached correctly. Working fine now 👍🏻
