There is nothing dodgy about it. If you want your wheels powder coating to a decent standard at a decent price, I can get them done for you.

When someone asks me about helping out regarding any engineering I can do, they don’t say, can I just ring your firm where you work and ask if they can sort it out and miss out the middle man. Neither would anyone on here I am sure.

Most standard wheels are not worth much at all. I am just offering a service to anyone that wants to have there wheels (or anything else for that matter) powder coated at a reasonable price.

This is no different to someone on here lending someone else a tool to help out with a job. There is an element of trust. I have been in this forum for many years.

Please, if you aren’t comfortable then that is fine by me. Don’t worry about it.

Regards. Dean.

Dean, I'm pretty shocked at some of the replies on here.
I'm also in Lincoln and will definitely be in touch once I have found some 17" Titans or 7Jx17 Comets.
All the best,
Mark.

Thank you XCR. I can understand people’s worries, but I am actually trying to help here. I wouldn’t want to be inundated with stuff anyway, the odd bit here and there is fine, as it isn’t me doing it and I am not sure how much work he would want.

I just know that eventually he will be putting his prices up as he gets more work, so thought I would offer a chance for people to get wheels sorted at a price that is affordable. The guy who’s doing it is also an engineer and has pretty high standards. He does his best to make a good decent job and at these prices, he’s not making that much out of it especially when he is fettling the kurbed edges by hand.

No no no, the problem I have is that you haven't answered anything, haven't qualified anything, and have given precisely no information as to what's going on.

You say you're trying to help people but then in the very next sentence are being as obstinate and unhelpful as possibly imaginable.

I would be extremely happy to go through you as a middleman if you could actually answer honest queries, sadly you're afflicted with a rather terrible attitude.

I think you just need to get off your high horse. If you look back at the threads, It's you that started the attitude. I just can't be bothered with you. Yes I am a middle man, but he is a work mate, and he has just started doing it as a side line at the moment, I tried to explain to you that this is just a bit on the side. As I have had two sets done I can vouch for the quality. They are actually as good as I could have wanted, so I have been honest from the start.

I am making £10 out of it, not too much of a big deal, but that is my busines. anyway, I don't want your business. You enquired about the cruise control and light switch stalk off my car I am breaking, but wanted them for nothing.

Good luck with getting your wheels done.

Regards. Dean.

Whilst irrelevant to the thread I can't let that libel slide. I didn't buy your stalks as you want more than double what they go for through well known breakers or are currently available for at "Buy It Now" prices on fleaBay. Nothing to do with wanting them for nothing.

Thank you for your well wishes regarding the wheels. Best of luck with your side businesses. A real shame you couldn't have just clearly explained all the things that have slowly trickled out comment by comment in your first post. I'd have jumped on it in a heartbeat then.

£15 posted to you for the cruise control is not double the price, or an unreasonable amount of money to ask, and if you can find a breaker with one in then well done!!

if you wasn't so pedantic you could have had your wheels powder coated at a reasonable price. It's no issue to me, I am only here to help. It's not me who's losing out, and quite frankly I don't think the guy doing the job would want someone like you either!!
