Default Replacing front shocks v70

Think it's time to replace front shocks on the v70 r so what parts would I need to keep it stock as possible but renew for something maybe a little stiffer?
It has done 160000 now.

to keep it as stock as possible... all you need is a replacement shock?
the question is if the springs gave up, or the shocks are shot?
if the shocks are fine, then get replacement springs (lowering ones I'd suggest, as theyre a bit stiffer) (if you lower the car, id probably change the rear springs as well)

if the shocks are shot, then you have no choice but to replace the shocks... either way with oem, and buy extra springs (for stiffness) or go with coilovers (that I suffer from ever since... lovely London roads...not)
