Default "BAY" hits maximum

Got back in the car yesterday afternoon after a meeting, turned on and noticed the ourside temperature gauge was on it's maximum reading of 40 degrees !!! I saw a post about retro fit air conditioning but I don't even have a fan motor working at the moment! (typical on these cars of course), Tony

Impressive picture ! - I am certainly glad I replaced my heater fan a couple of years ago when it died. The crotch coolers are better though when you are moving

How right you are! They were better than aircon in my old GL. My 91 SE dosen't have them as they seem to have changed the body panels in later models.

This is my effort in Bournemouth today - 'only' 30C ! - mind you it did hit 32C just after I took this.

Not a true representation , the sun must have been shining on the front of the car where the sensor is ;-) I have seen -20C on the same gauge , back in 1982 .

Nice photo... glad I wasn't there!

My '86 Merc daily has fairly primitive a/c, but it works and I'm loving it in this weather!

I am a convert to a/c, so (eventually) I'll have a go at retro fitting to the 245

Default cool crotch

The 740's have this cooler/fan and you can use that part to retro fit it back into a 940. You just cut the blanking part of the tube off. I might hazard a guess that you could do the same in a 240?
