Yes the windows can be done to.

you can check most things with Dice on each module that you have it depends if the car supports it.

Not sure what this has to do with auto unfolding the mirrors on door unlock , but I would hope VIDA could operate all the modules, otherwise how do you test them?
I thought this was about (and my comments were related to .... ) could VIDA programme some of the functions like the VolvoTech CFE box.

Think the answer is still no.

Because the mirrors can be done via VIDA on an XC90.

Thanks for that, but sorry, still confused, of course I would expect VIDA to be able to operate all the functions of the car, the OP questioned if the XC90 could be programmed to automatically open or close the door mirrors on door unlocking/locking, not if they could be "tested" in VIDA ..... Volvo say they cant, the printed Volvo customer set-up tick sheet for delivery programming states, "auto folding door mirror operation on lock/unlock - n/a on XC90" this extender box seems to achieve it, but I still dont see any proof that it can be done via VIDA, all the vid shows is the test function.

No, it CAN'T be programmed via VIDA to extend/retract mirrors automatically upon locking/unlocking - What the CFE does is "sense" the lock/unlock command, and then issue a "retract/extend" command to the mirrors, just like a macro command.

I didn't reply to the OP, I replied to coughlanc. The mirrors and windows can be activated in VIDA. But you then said you weren't sure about the dial sweep but the mirrors deffinately couldn't, so I posted a vids to show they can. Was just trying to help another forum member, not start a debate.

OK, what I think we can safely say is that a few of the functions, namely:

-window drop
-dial sweep
-mirror fold

can be activated as one time events via VIDA, but the only way to get them as permanent features is via the CFE box.

The CFE will also do (a lot) of stuff that isnt possible via VIDA such as extra DIM info, welcome text, mirror positioning and extra lights etc on the keyfob.

Sorry post #31 was a reply to my post, and dispite your reply and useful vid, you still cant programme the mirrors to auto fold which was the question, not if VIDA can test the mirror folding operation.

However I think we have now established what the extender box does and what VIDA cant.
