I have, one good, others not so good.

Good - the wheelbrace is extendable! So I COULD undo the wheel nuts by standing on it when extended.

Bad - the OE jack. Has to be raised to fit in its storage, but at its lowest to get under the jacking point. No probs, except it has a captive bar, so you can't spin it.

More worrying though, the jack doesn't fit properly in the jacking point, so that it damages the sill slightly. And yes, I tried all manner of ways to get it to fit.

I found this out a while ago but I was so pleased about it I am going to pass it on in case there are people still to discover it.

When you walk towards your car, on a hot day, press the unlock button on your key fob and hold it down. Your windows will all go down. Not a big deal but on a hot day it allows the baked air to escape and ideally let cooler air into your car so by the time you reach the car and open the door it is bearable. This works on most cars now.

You can do the same (in reverse) when walking away to ensure all the windows are closed

Hold the lock button whilst locking the car for a few seconds and watch all the windows close

I don't mean to hijack this thread but this doesn't seem to work on my S40. If I hold the lock button, the windows go up as mentioned, but holding the unlock button does not open them!

Is something broken, or were some cars equipped with remote up but not remote down?

Had my V70 for over 2 years before I realised that there was a pocket in the front of the seat behind my knees.

Never found a use for it though.

@Grimble, I found it was a handy place to keep my Thongdoms Seriously though, it's a handy place to keep parking change rather than having it rolling round the cup holder or in the little gap behind the waterfall console.

Cheers, although I never got the point of the space behind the centre console.
Probably because I don't understand 'design' as applied to form rather than function.

I put serviettes in there that I take from fast food joints etc. come in quite handy for spillages or to wipe things up with.

You have to hold the button in for quite a while.
