The xc60/90 among many others are too heavy and shaped like barn doors to get great economy. I have up a while back with that it did annoy me for a long time. The v90 s90 etc must have great economy. Maybe I'm just grumpy as I still want 40+ mpg!

The early cut off that the start/stop does in Comfort mode does my head in, let alone hoping for it to be earlier (if it is) in Eco.

Queuing on the motorway is a nightmare, as you roll to a stop and then go to move way before you're quite stopped it creates a horrible lurching!

You are right that if the stopping is too frequent it gets annoying. I think I have found a brake pedal pressure that prevents it kicking in if I want. But you have to be travelling quite slowly for that to work.

I thought that I would probably be in the minority quite liking eco mode!

I'll say it again, at low speed a quick flick of the Gear lever to manual and back temporarily disables the Stop/Start temporarily until a gear change

I have set up individual mode to use the eco settings as I prefer the tachometer to the eco gauge. My biggest gripe is the lack of an option to set a default drive mode as I frequently forget to set it to individual and hence do a lot of journeys in comfort mode.
