Default How long before you start towing with a new car.

Is there any rules or accepted procedure re running in mileage for towing with a Volvo ,especially with a geartronic auto box.

I tend to run a car in anyway for the first 1000 miles but wonder about the additional stresses and strains of towing .Any advice or opinions from experienced towers welcome.

that is of course your opinion however depending how much the van weighs and to when you are going you may have time to put some miles on, it states in my hand book quote do not drive with a heavy trailer when your car is brand new.wait until it has gone at least 1000km or 620 miles.with my van at 1700 MTPLM i no what i would do.
