Default Volvo meeting

I and Mark have been saying for a bit now that we need to organise a Volvo meeting as there don't actually seem to be that many around.

We were thinking Carnforth could be a good area to meet as it is half way between the Midlands and Scotland and then all of the people up north are closer to the meet.

Who would be interested in this?

I'd need to get a Volvo back on the road before the meet, can't be showing up in a VAG product

Have to say the 155 miles to Carnforth was what appealed to me. That makes it a tad too much in the one day from Glasgow

I consider anything under 200miles for an event as local. It is fairly common to do 300-350 miles each way going to a BKV on the day.

I suppose it all comes down to where everyone wants to meet, I always found it best to have a meet at somehwere interesting.

Did we do a poll before to see where everyone would like?

It was just an idea I had when I met up with Luke in Carnforth

Happy for any and all suggestions but if it could be around that area it would be good as hopefully we could get people from all around.

Agreed Luke

That was the idea of that location. A poll is a bit pointless as everybody will want it nearer to them.

The message would be who is up for a 700/900 meet in Carnforth and gauge interest from that ?

It should be a decent enough location and like you say its not too far from the Scottish border

Anyone know what the parking is like here? http://www.carnforthstation.co.uk/index.html

That does look interesting. I'll do some digging today.

Cheers
