C30 d5
Hi all I’ve got a c30 d5 auto which has started making a horrible grinding noise.
It’s definitely metal on metal,it does it slightly when accelerating in a straight line, it’s silent when you turn left but when you turn right it sounds awful. Had it in the garage today and they’re not sure they can hear it but the funny thing is it’s related to engine speed it does it slightly when coasting but under acceleration it becomes a lot louder the garage had it rolling in neutral and when revving it was doing it, so abit stuck really. I first thought discs or bearings but it’s related to engine speed and acceleration was seeing if anyone has had anything similar, would be much appreciated. Daniel |

After searching on here found a thread with similar symptoms and it turns out the top engine mount has gone causing it to vibrate.
