Range is quoted at 250 miles so an 80 percent fast charge will give you about 200 miles. They don't recommend over 80 percent on a fast charger as it cooks the batteries.....

They definitely see it as the model to aspire to. That's why MY21 sees removal of "R-Design" lettering on scuff plates and C-pillar and the removal of chrome trims around the exhausts on all models. No one need be proud of big exhausts and engine performance any more. If your car loos like it might be electric then that's the way to go. Perhaps we'll see disguised front grills soon.

Default XC90 - sign of whats coming

Hi all,

Was just having a quick play on DriveTheDeal, pricing up a current XC90 B5D Inscription Pro and noticed some changes to the options available.

Specifically, I noticed Osmium Grey wasn't a colour option, there is a wireless phone charger option for £100 and the family, xemium, seven seat comfort etc packs have been replaced with:

Tech - Harman Kardon sound pack - XC90 Free
Climate pack - XC90 R Design Pro/Inscription Pro £300.00
Driver assist pack - XC90 £500.00
Tech - Bowers and Wilkins sound pack - XC90 £2,150.00
Lounge pack -XC90 £2,250.00

I appreciate its just DTD, and sites like this are never 100% correct with the options and particularly combinations of options available, but DTD has always been pretty accurate with Volvo options in the past.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I don't think it has specifically for xc90.

I've taken a look at the latest price list from Volvo UK site and it doesn't reflect these changes.

Would be great if that wireless charger could be retro fitted in some way.

It looks like they have given up on TV as an option, I chose it with my order 3 yrs ago and can confirm that the experience has been really poor

Thanks for the new specs - but what a disappointment. For those of us with a 4 year old XC90 looking to maybe upgrade - the Momentum Pro is no more. That means the adaptive shadow tech headlights are restricted to R-Design Pro or Inscription Pro. I would not buy a replacement car without this feature.

I won't buy an R-Design - it's not a sports car - and the Inscription Pro is just too much.

So that's made it simple - no shopping for now. Although the colour choice of Black, White or some shade of grey/silver in not inspiring either!

Who is paid to make these decisions?

No more Bursting Blue.

They dropped Passion Red for MY20 and now dropped Bursting Blue for MY21.

So it's grey grey or grey?

I understand your frustration, but the Inscription Pro is only £1150 more than the R-Design Pro. Given the total is £64k I would have thought there was enough negotiation room with the dealer to end up with a similar price at the end of the day.

Unless you have high mileage or there is something wrong with the car, personally I would take out an extra years warranty and keep it for a 5th year. With the SPA2 starting to be launched in 2021, you may see more significant upgrades and changes then.
