Timing belt questions...

Hi all,

I have a 240 GLT and I am attempting to replace the timing belt. Before taking the belt off, I noticed that the timing notches weren't aligned properly.

Does the GLT have an interference or non-interference engine?

Before putting on the new belt, I want to reset the timing. How would I go about that if it is an interference engine?

Thanks for your reply. However, does anyone know if the GLT has an interference engine and if so how do you set it?

I believe that with a non interference engine you can just adjust the pulleys by hand but I'm unsure if you can use this technique with an interference engine?

It's a none interference engine you can just reset the pulleys but you will find the cam pulley might not line up a 100% on it's mark this is very common
