I can't think of any 3 jobs that would be more rewarding.... you will have a substantially faster, cheaper and warmer car afterwards!

Yes, watch the end of the video that I posted around 5 mins in . The same thing happened to that guy and he explains a work round/fix.

Just had a look at the video and have tried that might try a screwdriver to try and pop it, the leaver inside pulls ok but won’t release the passenger side isn’t latched just won’t release the drivers side.

I didn’t touch any of this so not sure what has happened but really frustrating and been working on it most of the day, it’s always the little simple things that cause the most problems.

Hope you get it sorted easily, particularly after a long hard day.

Managed to get the bonnet open by reaching up to the latch, the handle is doing nothing and the cables don’t move so I may have pinched it putting it all back in.

Going to drop the radiator a couple of inches tomorrow to have a look but noticed the passenger side latch isn’t grabbing so will have to have a look at that as well.

Wasn’t the worse job I’ve done but I did snap one of the pins that hold the heater core pipes into the core which really didn’t help but managed to hold it in with a trusty tie wrap for now.

The intercooler was in a pretty bad state oil down both sides of it nearly full length so pleased I changed it, when I changed the radiator only a small amount of gearbox oil came out so no need to top it up.

Will keep you updated tomorrow once I’ve had a look.
