I need to replace the rear wiper, I cant see any press or pull release clip, does it just simply pull off ? I dont want to be too forceful !

Indeed. Hopefully a watchful moderator will move it.
The rear wiper on a 960 does just slide out of a standard hook fitting. Note that this may require you to press a small catch on the plastic clip adapter. Now, this is complicated by the plastic cover over the arm which prevents you turning the wiper through 90 degrees and pulling on it to help budge it from the hook on the arm. You have to pull along its length whereby you cannot get much of a grip and run the risk of pulling the blade apart. If it's anything like mine was - hasn't been changed in ages and has an ill-fitting non-OEM clip adapter rammed into the hook and slightly rusted for good measure - it will be a pain to extract. You could try some of your favourite maintenance spray to help loosen it up a bit or you can in a pinch remove the plastic outer cover but I would not recommend this, especially in cold weather, as it has lots of fragile plastic clips which hold it to the arm and will be a pain to try to source a good replacement if you break too many of these. Better, if it comes to it, to sacrifice the clip adapter on the old wiper blade to get it out rather than to damage the arm or its cover. Good luck! |
