Default 2002 Volvo S40 2.0 SE Auto

One elderly lady owner from new until we bought it earlier this year 2019). MOT until July but I’ll happily put 12 months on for my asking price. Has been kept in a garage all it’s life and has only covered 43,000 miles. As you would imagine it drives like a new car. The 2.0 litre Volvo engine is sublime and is still very tight. It does need the variable valve timing pulley replacing as it is noisy but I have disconnected the wiring plug to the solenoid, which has stopped the rattling but has put the engine management light on. The car is perfectly fine to use like this. Apparently it can cause an increase in full consumption but I’ve been getting 35mpg, which I think is acceptable. My plan was to replace the pulley next year when the timing belt will need replacing (10 years). I gave it a full service when we bought it. Oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs. Five speed auto box (as used in the v70’s) changes effortlessly and the ATF is red. Brakes function really and all pads have relatively recently been replaced.
Paint is very clean and bright. Unfortunately it’s previous owner has scratched both bumper corners and one rear bumper corner, which extends slightly to the rear quarter panel. 15” alloy wheels are really tidy. All tyres have a lot of tread on them. Budget fronts Mohawk), Firestone and Dunlop on rear.
Interior is in exceptional condition, cloth seats having no damage whatsoever. Leather three spoke steering wheel with no wear marks, fitted mats. All electrical items work as they should which includes remote central locking, alarm, electric windows, aerial, radio/cd (audio gives fantastic sound), front fog lights etc. Headlight reflectors are like new. Comes complete with owners pack, owners hand book, service book, wallet and two remote keys.
Looking for £1100.00 but will consider offers as I need to thin out my Saab and Volvo collection.
