Amazon washer bottle, coil and cowling
I'm looking for a few bits for a LHD 63 Amazon.
1. Square type washer bottle (I know it isn't correct for the year but it's going to be the easier option) 2. 12v coil with ignition switch and armoured cable, I don't need the lock barrel as I have a new one. Needs to be for the shorter type for a LHD. 3. Steering column cowling for a car without overdrive. Thanks |

I should be able to help you with that stuff.
1. Do you care if it's the square bottle that sat in the cage or had the groove in back to be hung from the triangular plate? You have the pump? 2. I have a few around and would have to test it before posting it... 3. Is your car a stick, I assume it is from your comment but want to make sure it's not got a BW35. Chris |

Thanks for the reply.
1. To explain further, the car has had a square type bottle fitted by welding the bracket to the battery retaining strap. I assumed this was the later type bottle which should be fitted to the inner wing, so I bought the bracket, only to find the bottle on the car has parallel slots and the new bracket has tapered slots. The pump looks correct, but it has no part number on it so I can't check. If you have a pump I would be interested in that as well. As I have the bracket now, the type that sits on the triangular plate bracket is what I would like. 2. Again, to elaborate. The coil on the car works fine, the issue is the return spring on the ignition switch has broken. I assume this means a whole new coil and switch are needed? 3. Yes, it's an M40. Thanks, Matt |

Matt-
1- I have two square bottles with the angled grooves in the back. Both are a bit dirty but would clean up some. They will never be 'show ready' but they are solid and work fine. If you have a working pump of hte style that sits in the bottle, it should work on these as all the threads are the same for these type of bottles. 2- I have a cut coil end if you want to try to fish a good spring out of it. I don't know how you would do it but it looks to be stamped together and you might be able to remove the good spring out of this one and then carefully open yours. If you want to try, I'm happy to sell this one cheap. Or I have full coils. I have not tested any of them but I have a couple so I'm 99% sure I can get you a good complete unit. 3- The crowl shown is in good shape. Again not perfect but I would rate it at like 95%. If the site goes down again, can I contact you directly? Chris agent_strangelove@hotmail.com |
