CEM 30638708 wanted
Need the above for v40 2003 1.9d S.
Siamblue thanks for offer. I'm a lurker not a poster so can't reply yet. All lights working but high beam won't stay on when stalk clicked. Have ordered replacement relay but not an ace solderer so would like backup cem before I start! Thanks all |

Not sure if it is actually the CEM relay that is at fault. It is a bit of a long shot, but have you replaced the stalk recently? The reason for that, is that the stalks are slightly different for the earlier CEMs.

Hi. Thanks for responses.
I did try a replacement stalk a bit ago because originally when I bought the car last November the high beams needed two pulls back on the stalk to stay on. Changed the stalk but it made no difference. Not used high beams for a while over "summer" here in Scotland and now will come on when clicked but won't stay on even double clicked. It could be that the replacement stalk was wrong, maybe, but I had mine apart at the time and all seemed good. Would like to try another cem just to see. Would I need to disconnect the battery before removing cem? Thanks |

No need to disconnect the battery. Just make sure the key is out
