Default V50 2012 Clutch noise

Hi!

Recently I bought a Volvo V50 from 2012 with 233000 km on the clock. The car has a service history at the local Volvo dealer. All the needed service seems to be done correctly.

But, after the first 1000 km I'm driving this car I noticed some noises and shaking which I think is from the clutch:
- With cold engine, no problems occur
- With warm engine: slight rattle during stationary. No change in RPM. Only notice this sound outside the car.
- On highway; when accelerating the car starts shaking. Same for the gear poke.
- At stoplight also very noticeable shake.
- When shifting there's some 'tick-noise' (quite the same as you start driving with bad motormount).

First I thought it could be the motormounts, this is still possible. But these should not give sounds while driving or at the traffic lights(?)

Any idea's and tests that could be done to direct me to the possible problems? I'm planning to have the car checked, but would like to have some idea of the problem before I go. (Like motormounts I can replace myself, clutch is for some more experienced technicians )

Thx!

The dual mass flywheel is a known issue that would cause the symptoms you describe. I suggest you get it looked at and confirmed.

Dear JanVH89,

Your car's issue sounds more severe than for my V50 but I had shaking and juddering which seemed almost certain to be a clutch problem but ended up being a front wheel bearing.
