Default Tailgate lock V40

Hello chaps, bit of a problem with my tailgate lock. It will not open consistently. Unlock central locking all good press key button in but no mechanical movement. Have to release from inside. Then it works for a bit then something disengages and again it will not release. Think I need the parts from the key (cams, rods) to the actual locking jaws which seem fine. Anyone have the part or know of a breakers, nothing on eBay. Cheers, John

See the highlighted bit in the photo. For some reason it has come out of place. It's meant to be behind that white round bit of the lock. Easy and cheap fix

Yes ...it does go behind, mine did that, i think it's because it's worn & slips out.
i've glued a small nail (cut to fit) in to the top of mine for the time being, the head of the nail is just enough to stop it slipping past !

Thanks Gatos, that is the problem it keeps popping out. Reckon I'll look into the repair kit 🙂
