Default New Owner 08 S40 R-Design

Hi Guys,

Have my new S40 now just over two weeks. Have searched all over the net find some tweaks etc I can do on it. Is there any cheap and chear-full mods on the 08 S40? Like adding Rain Sensing wipers etc? Also Still disappointed that in Ireland Volco scrapped the chrome tail-pipe from the R-Design Kit. Anyone have prices/codes for the rear skirt and pipe from abroad?

Some Pics

Alan.

Hi identical to mine, yes the exhaust tail pipe is hidden under the rear bumper on mine.
Great build quality on them.
One think I have noticed is that the cream leather stains easily from wearing jeans in the car, but nothing a good clean wont cure.
Did you spec any extras on yours ?

Default Spec

Hi Poodle,

Still look nice with a little chrome on the rear :-) Noticed the same things Re: the leather but leather wipes cleaned it right up. I didn't spec it that much. But as you drop to S spec here with the R-Design I added Fog Lights and the Info Centre along with the voice controlled Bluetooth Unit (MADLY Overprised) Would have liked the enhanced sound system but the sound is pretty good so happy at the minute. Got a quote from a custom ICE installer. They say I can get a Pop up Digital TV/Sat Nav/DAV player installed into the top of the dash for €1800. Might consider it down the line.

Overall pretty happy with it. It was the 50% VRT reduction for getting the 1.8 Bio engine that drew me too it. Has more power on the Bio but it sure does like to drink it.

Hi Poodle,

Not worked out the MPG for the Bio as have only used it once. Not easy get here just yet.
Mine sits high on the suspension also.

Suffered my first attack last weekend :-( Someone took a screwdriver and stole the Shark Antenna from the roof. Was one very angry dude. €27 for the part. €35 to spray it and another €45 to fit it as the roof is out of shape now and need sealing.

Some people just cant leave other peoples stuff alone.

Unlucky - that is the one thing that concerns me when I lose my underground parking space is security - I will be rather annoyed if my shark fin goes walkabout.
