Default V60 Spare wheel problem solved

Thanks Mike, I'll try to identify the part number (don't have much hope) and see if that is (a) available and (b) cheaper than the spare wheel kit.

Default V60 Spare Wheel Solution

Very impressed with the cut-out to the undertray for a Space Saver. My new 2018MY V60 has the tray under the cargo floor - so I will be trying the same mod as I have the wheel already. What I cannot sort out is the model name or Part No. for a suitable scissor jack. It seems that there is something different about the jacking requirement for the newer V60s - I can't even get a Dealer to respond to that request. Can anybody help?

Hi

I'm another V60 owner looking for a Tempa solution, but for the new mk2 variant MY2019.

I've attached a couple of photo of the new installation. I think I've identified the part number for the new side cheeks that hold the tools.

But so far have not been able to get a definite answer on the size 125/80/R17 or 125/80/R18. The larger picture is a screen shop from a review video and I think I can see R17 on the tyre. But a Swedish website I found says R18!!

I have two very helpful Volvo parts departments working on it but VIDA has no detail on the new version, despite the fact that it can be ordered and a factory fit option from new @ £125 + vat. There are also two variants of a foam locating ring that the tyre sits on.

The parts list and diagram came from a US website. I hope the pictures are of help to others.

did this mod earlier, 2012 with space save spare.

So glad to get the space back, and you dont lose any from the tray as bits fit in the spare.

Also get use of the springy flappy thing now in the boot floor (whatever that is for!)

Is that a modified tray under the boot floor? The size/layout of the tray in mine would never hold a spare and be able to have the boot floor.

It’s a shopping bag holder, so bottles etc won’t fall over or slide around.

Yes, modified with a stankey knife (•‿•)

Confirmed the spare would fit with the boot floor down then cut the tray so the spare sits in it. The tray was only used as a dumping area, and the spare holds a lot if the staff anyhow so nothing lost.
