Colour looks great! I also have the D5 Auto and I love it. Also have the Ikea trim! I believe its "Nordic oak"

Kind regards

Thanks for that Andy, I wasn't sure of its correct name. I just knew that I liked it a lot

+1 for just fitting the genuine discs and pads - probably the best compromise of braking effectiveness, pedal feel and life.

Several sellers on e-bay doing them at trade prices.

Picked up the S40 on Saturday and have done 100 or so miles in it so far - and I love it

What a fantastic, understated little car it is. Fabulously comfortable, quiet and refined, and the Volvo quality comes through everywhere.

Only found a few minor issues so far - the cigar lighter sockets in the cabin don't work, so I need to check the fuse for that (I need them to power my dashcam and charge the phone). The boot seal seems a bit flat and allows the boot lid to close too harshly, so I'll feed some smaller hose through the seal to bulk it out a bit. And it seems a bit flat for 180bhp. It makes progress fast enough to be fair, but it feels like its down 10-20bhp so I'll give it a service - it has a main dealer service up to the last one, so I'll get genuine/Mann parts and do it properly. Finally, I've ordered new UniRoyal Rainsport 3 tyres to replace the mixed bag of cheapo ones fitted. The cheapo ones fitted make a racket on poor road surfaces lol.

I have a few questions about the radio and wiring which I'll post separately, but other than that I'm delighted! I'll get some pics taken later and will add then to the 'showroom' area rather than clutter up this part of the forum.
