Default V50 keyfob dead

Hi. The fob on our 2008 V50 isn’t working, hasn’t worked for a month or so and just changed the battery today but still no joy. Any other suggestions? It still works fine in ignition and starting the car. I was under the impression no reprogramming was needed after changing the battery.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ross.

No they do not need programming . They do go faulty in rare cases like yours which means you need to go to the dealer for a new one . It is never wise to have just the one as the car is useless without a working Fob ..
