Will These Wheels fit???
Hello all,
Been offered a nice set of the multi small-spoke alloys with large plastic centre cap (commonly fitted to the facelift 760). Pattern number: 1359180 - picture of the type in the attachment. Anyhow, my question is: will thses fit straight onto a 240 using the 760 type wheelnuts, or are the 240 studs too long? If anyone can provide the answer I would appreciate it greatly Many thanks in advance. |

RE: Will These Wheels fit???
Use the 240 wheelnuts - the 760s are metric so wrong thread. The wheels should fit with no problems.

RE: Will These Wheels fit???
Thanks for replying, Mike.
I'm running on GLT alloys at the mo, and the nuts are too long to work with the 760 alloys - they protrude too far to get the wheel centre cap on. Do you know if the taper of the original steel wheels is the same as that for the alloys? If so,then I guess a set of nuts for steel wheels will work? If that's the solution, does anyone have a nice new set I can buy? Cheers, T |

RE: Will These Wheels fit???
While we are on the subject of wheels has anyone got a list of ones that will fit the 240? I've been on the hunt for cheap (or even any!)GLT alloys here in NI but so far have had no joy.
does anyone have the PCD of the 240 anyway? theres aset in the local free ads for 15" volvo with tyres and nuts for £160 but I think they are off something more modern like a S40 From the forum I've seen these are ok 240GLT alloys - use GLT nuts 760 alloys multispoke - use 240 nuts ??????? anyone got others they want to add to the list? Do any of the steel wheels off the more modern volvos fit? |

RE: Will These Wheels fit???
The fwd Volvo wheels have trhe wrong offset and need spacers. 9, 7 & 2 series wheels fit - just use 240 wheel nuts. The GLT nuts are needed due to depth of hole to stud on the 5 spoke GLT wheels. We do often have various 7 series alloys off cars we scrap. Most aftermarket alloys advertised in the likes of Max Power can be ordered for the 240s if you can find someone willing to go to the effort. Unfortunately Euro Car Parts no longer keep these wheels which was a good source for cheap aftermarket wheels.
If you need more info or help let me know. Mike

RE: Will These Wheels fit???
Now that I know 7 series will fit guess what I got some,
(well not yet but I plan on buying them) if they suit but I am presumeing the standard 240 wheelnuts will be too small and I will need GLT nuts. It does come with 7 series nuts but as you say mike they will be metric What do you think? the pic is below Cheers for all your help guys |
