Default First Drive of rebuild.. Nervous !!

Im so nervous....its the first drive of the rebuilt Engine and all the other new accessories.

Never felt this nervous since my driving test some 28 year ago !

Decided just to go petrol station to put fuel in ....

now my mind is racing.. what happens if I have massive failure whilst at BP ?

Thinks im going mad !!!!!

Try to resist flooring it.

Baby it now, check it out carefully when you get back.

Well the good news is she's absolutely fine !!!

No leaks .. no knocks.. ;-)

K24 sounds a beast and NA cams seem to make it sound like a race car !!!

Running it on a 280 rica map until it has its COP conversion next month :-)

HAPPY DAYS !!! :tounge_ smile:

Tim is going to sort me a 4.4 out converted to Coil and Plug.

Just running it in for the next 100 mile or so on a RICA280 .

Then will get rid of that 4.3 ecu and change to 4.4 with custom MAP from TIM

Car running great

Run-in still going OK? Sounds like a nice build. Suitable for daily driving?

Going really well.

Just have a slight leak on exhaust flange at turbo so waiting for a MLG to arrive to seal it up.

Its buggering up o2 reading by the look of it.

Done first 50 odd mile ill do another 50 then oil change ;-)

Thanks, its a job I wan't to do over the winter as I have a spare engine kicking about and h beams can be had fairly cheap these days but they appear to get mixed reviews...

I seem to recall a thread years ago suggesting most of them came from the same factory in china so the more expensive one were just throwing money away but I am not convinced....
