Default VIDA/DICE unit needed for diagnostics

Is there anyone out there with a VIDA + DICE unit I could use for diagnostic tests on a 1999 mk 1 V70?

Default Vida/Dice diagnostics

Hi thanks. If no-one closer replies I am about 8 miles from Chester.
I would need to have the Vida/Dice brought here as the motor dies within seconds of cranking and firing. Or alternatively I could get a ride to you and leave appropriate security to borrow Vida/Dice on whatever terms you like. Everything I've tried to identity fault has failed so I've got no choice but to use diagnostics or it ain't gonna get fixed.

That's a shame.
If you'd been able to come over this way, I'd have read the car for free.

I sell systems and have a laptop and VCX tool ready to send out @£250 delivered. It could be with you by Friday and as Vida is already configured, you just turn on the laptop and it is ready to read the car within a couple of minutes.

If you have a suitably specced laptop already, you could need just the VCX tool @£100 delivered which includes the Vida software and set up assistance.

I don't have a system available to lend or even rent out unfortunately.

Sounds like the classic immobiliser antenna ring contacts problem, very common on these, if you didn't know already. Give the contacts a very thorough clean, and if that still doesn't work you could replace it - usually cleaning works I believe.

Worth a try, as it's free?

I have tried 2 antenna rings on it (both used) without any success. For this reason I doubt it is an antenna ring fault

If the CPU supports Virtualization, you'll just need the VCX tool and software.

Does it plug into the OBD || port? and come with OBD || port plug-in connector?

Yes and yes.
Like I said, you just need the VCX tool and software if you already have a suitable laptop.
