440 ECU - help -
Hello everybody I am in need of some help , I have enough questions regarding ECU with the sticker color red wine , I'm from Portugal and here nobody knows help me in this matter, some friends told me that this gives to reprogram the ECU , but not I tell what I should do with it , some people say to remove the limiter (which limiter ? limiter boost pressure ?? ) advise me what to do with it... I do not want to spoil anything in the car, so I came here to this forum because you are much more understood in this area then we , just try to get around 160hp , I hope you understand what i mean...(my english is a little bit bad so i had to use google translater xD sorry guys)

Hi.
The best thing you can do is go to 480 Club Europe and have a good look around. The 480 is mechanically identical to the 440 and 460. There are a few things that can be done fairly easily to get them up to around 160-170bhp. Funnily enough, that's roughly how much power the prototype engines produced, when Porsche finished developing the turbo system for Volvo. Anyway, lots of information on the above site. Steve
