knackered knock sensor B230k.
Well after months (and months) of checking and fixing numerous bits around the dreaded Solex Cisac carburetor (B230k engine authentic system) including checking, cleaning and repairing bits of the EGR Pulsair system, gaskets etc....I've now found that the knock sensor has completely disintegrated!
Looking for a replacement and guidance to how to remove the old and refit a new one. Anybody tried doing this at all? Do you have to remove the inlet manifold, or can it be done in situ? Car starts fine, but runs unevenly, changeable idle and engine wobbles. Sometimes it can't pull the skin of a rice pudding, but if I turn engine off then on again, it's got plenty of power....for a short while. Any help gratefully received! Or if anybody has a spare they want to sell - an eager buyer awaits! |
