Default engine mount should i remove for belt change?

newbie question two from me this week

heres my engine bay mount on the v70 mk 3 2009 d5 engine
im going to be changing out belts water pump and power steering pump

this big ol badboy upper left engine mount (seen in picture directly by power steering bottle ) seems to be in way of everything and blocking easy access from above
Do i remove it first to start work ? if so do i need to give support to the engine from underneath by jacking it to compensate for lack of mount ? if i just undo it am i going to stress weight on engine etc
can jobs be done from underside leaving mount in place ?
or is it simple ?just undo then do back up (correct torques withstanding off course)

Yes remove it for extra room . Support engine with a trolley jack

Half-way down the plastic timing belt cover, there's a threaded stud that sticks through from the engine block, to fasten a hose clamp in place.

I had real problems removing the timing belt cover because of this stud, and had to really lever the cover outwards while removing it. It was the hardest part of the whole job on mine !

jacking the engine from underneath? where can i safely jack the block from ?

I see on robert's vid he says def dont place jack under oil reservoir or its kiss goodbye to it and mucho leaks instantly

mmm maybe ive got some serious more research here. think i might be doing total newbie and confusing tank with engine sump dooohh . if anyone's got the simple direction for the spot to jack engine block technique /thread please point this idiot to it Iv'e got the nice piece of Oroko 11/2 ft hardwood block to jack with im keen noticed someones said in another sites thread about using wheel change carjack to get more control raising lowering block than trolley jack any-thoughts ?

I used a large bit of wood to spread the load of the engine and put the trolley jack under that
